The Next Step

I have to get on a regular exercise schedule. I work a lot of hours and it's going to take discipline through the Winter when it's not as warm out and dark when I leave and dark when I get home.
I'm either going to go to the gym in the mornings before work or create a workout room in the house; I'm still undecided at the moment. The gym is easier up front but if I create a home gym/workout room then that will be easier long term.
Thanks to all the people that have remarked on the weight loss so far. I still have a lot to lose but it's nice to receive a few comments and it helps keep me motivated.
The biggest things I can notice is that I can tie my shoes without any trouble breathing and I am sleeping better most of the time. I feel much more energetic all the time as well.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday!!! What's the signifigance of Wednesday, you ask? Well, I read something today that put me in a very great mood. It was a simple little saying but it hit me the right way and I've been in a great mood ever since.
It was about miracles. It said, "There is no in between with miracles. You either believe there are no miracles, or you believe that everything is a miracle."
I know for certain that I don't believe that there are no miracles, so therefore I fall to the everything is a miracle side. When I read that I thought it sounded silly but the more I thought about it the more I realized that to different degrees everything is a miracle.
So......Happy Wednesday!!!
Have a blessed week everyone!!!

Giving Up A Vice

I'm giving up a huge vice that is holding me back in my weight loss......milk. I love milk. But I love losing weight more so I'm cutting my favorite drink way, way back. It will be hard because I love to drink milk, but I can do it. :)

New Pants

Mrs. Surf has made it official. Some of my pants are getting baggy and I'll have to buy smaller ones soon; terrible problem, hehe.
I swerved from my diet for one night this week and went with my friend Kuro to get some late-night pizza. While it was way off the beaten path of my diet, I think it was an important part of it. That one night of pizza was very fun for me and will keep me on track more than anything else for at least a month.
I've finally increased my water intake and I've found a new drink that has 0 calories that I love. It's diet green tea. I love it!!
I'm going to buy some new clothes tomorrow evening. My goal for the rest of this year is to get down to 260. That will be 60 pounds from where I started. My longer-term goal is to be at 225 by next summer when I return to Oklahoma.
Last but not least; It's great to be a Grandpa!!!

Update

I would give myself a B on the romantic front. I have my moments where I do and say the right things to cultivate a healthy relationship, but I also backslide and make the intentionally crude stabs that folks can make when they have known each other so well for so long. I'm working on eliminating them from my actions but it is a habit-changing proccess. At least I'm aware I'm doing it.
I'm planning a romantic getaway weekend with just the Mrs. and I which she knows absolutely nothing about. (I'm pretty sure she's not reading this blog at least.) On the slim chance that she may read this before the trip that's all the details I'm going to mention.
I got to see my Grandson today and man is he growing fast. He's seven weeks old and it's amazing how much he has grown already.
My daughter is working with me and she's doing great. She catches on to everything very fast and completes every assignment thrown her way with no sign of being negative. I'm very proud of her progress in the few short weeks she's been there. The coolest thing is that she rides to work with me about three days a week.
My youngest son started college this week. I hope he puts his best effort in to his studies.
My diet is going well. I'm currently down 42 pounds from where I started at the first of the year. My current focuses are quality of dailyfood intake and quantity of daily water intake.
